The Carolina Forest High School Prowler staff, comprised of 47 students first semester and 25 students second semester, is responsible for producing eight issues of the student newspaper.  The Prowler is a member of the S.C. Scholastic Press Association (SCSPA) and the Southern Interscholastic Press Association (SIPA). Last year The Prowler earned an All-State award and the Palmetto Award from SCSPA and the All-Southern from SIPA. These are the highest ratings given by these organizations. Students also have the opportunity to attend a fall and spring day-long conference at USC sponsored by SCSPA and SIPA’s spring convention held the first weekend in March in Columbia.
