• SunTrust Off to College Scholarship Sweepstakes
• Seniors can win $1,000 for their first year of college. Students can begin registering Sept. 14, 2009 and winners will be chosen every two weeks, beginning Oct. 30, 2009. Register after each drawing to be eligible.

• Navy ROTC College Scholarships
• Scholarships are available at many four-year schools across the country; no obligation until sophomore year.

• Guy Daniels Memorial Scholarship
• Scholarships awarded to Horry County residents who will be undergraduate students in the 2010-2011 school year.

• South Carolina State Fair Scholarship Program
• SC senior who will attending a two or four-year school in the fall; applicants will be judged based on need, academic and extra curricular achievement, communications skills, and on aptitude for completion of application.

• DEADLINE: MARCH 22, 2010
• South Carolina coaches Association of Women’s Sports and Trophies by “M” Scholarship
• Senior women student athletes who plan to major in the field of medicine; must show academic excellence; must have participated in athletic and non-athletic extra-curricular activities; must have at least a 1000 on the SAT (Cr. Reading & Math) or 22 composite on ACT.

• DEADLINE: MARCH 22, 2010
• South Carolina Coaches Association of Women’s Sports Scholarship (Education)
• Senior women student athletes who plan to major in Education; must show academic excellence; must have participated in athletic and non-athletic extra-curricular activities; must have at least a 1000 on the SAT (Cr. Reading & Math) or 22 composite on ACT.

• DEADLINE: MARCH 31, 2010
• The Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship
• Senior who is a US citizen or permanent resident; must have a 2.5 GPA or higher; must attend a four-year institution in the fall of 2010; must demonstrate leadership abilities by participating in community service or other extra-curricular activities.
• Applications available in D-House near Ms. Bosselait’s office.

• DEADLINE: MARCH 31, 2010
• Myrtle Beach Marathon Scholarship
• Senior who resides in Horry County; must have a GPA of 3.0 or above; must be a member of one of school’s athletic teams; must have been a participant or volunteer in a Myrtle Beach Marathon event; must demonstrate excellence in character, ability and leadership.
• Senior who has taken a Drama class at CFHS and has participated in a performance produced by the Fine Arts Dept.; must have a GPA of 3.0 or better; must be attending a two or four year college.

• DEADLINE: April 1, 2010
• Grand Strand Running Club 2010 Scholarship
• Senior applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA (using S.C. Uniform Grading Scale); must be a member of school’s cross country or track team, or be involved in non-school sponsored running events; demonstrate community involvement; involved in other extra-curricular activities; must demonstrate leadership qualities.

• DEADLINE: APRIL 1, 2010
• The South Carolina Caucus of Black School Board Members Essay Scholarship
• African-American high school senior who will be attending a four-year college or university in the fall of 2010; must demonstrate financial need.

• The Corey Matthew Brooks Memorial Scholarship
• CFHS Senior who best embodies the memory of Corey Matthew Brooks within his/her acknowledgement of religious commitment, friendship, and a love of community and environment.

• Horry County Schools Teacher Scholarship
• Horry County Schools’ Senior who plans to pursue a career in Teaching and attend Coastal Carolina University.

• Dewey Kennedy Scholarship
• Senior planning to attend a 2-year technical college or 4-year college or university

• 2010 Student-View Scholarship Program
• Seniors who plan to attend post-secondary school.
• To be placed in a random drawing, log on to www.student-view.com and complete a 15-20 minute application survey about colleges in your area.

• Grand Strand Young Republicans Scholarship Application
• Horry County Senior who is registered to vote, if eligible; must be planning to attend Coastal Carolina University; must have a GPA of at least 3.0; must be eligible to graduate from an Horry County high school.
• DEADLINE: MAY 1, 2010
• Lewis A. Sykes Scholarship, North Carolina State University
• Senior from Horry County who will be majoring in Agriculture at NC State; student must have been accepted into the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at North Carolina State University.

• Virginia Tech Alumni Association Grand Strand-Myrtle Beach Chapter Scholarship
• Senior who has applied and been accepted Virginia Tech

• The Ruby Hughes Memorial Scholarship
• Senior who has taken a Technical Theatre class at CFHS and has participated in a performance produced by the Fine Arts Dept. using technical skills, such as set building, painting, sound, lighting, etc.; must have a GPA of 3.0 or better; must be attending a two or four year college.

• The Jason Hucks Memorial Scholarship
