Principal's Message

Welcome To Carolina Forest High School,

As Principal of Carolina Forest High School, I invite you to peruse our web page and learn more about our school. Hopefully, the web page will reflect the dedication, pride, and enthusiasm of our teachers, guidance counselors, staff members, and students who work daily to make our school a school of EXCELLENCE.

Our school has celebrated so many successes since its opening in 1997. Our average SAT, ACT, and AP scores are above the national average.  Our student newspaper, The Prowler, continues to receive top honors. Our school boasts 10 honors societies, all affiliated with their national organizations.  Our award winning band has played in the Independence Day parade in Washington, DC in July 2003 and again in July 2007, and placed in numerous competitions across North and South Carolina. Our Show Choir also continues to win top honors at competitions and they were featured on the HTC television channel for their 2007 Christmas program.  The performing arts students have had the opportunity to work with Broadway choreographers and year after year present spectacular musicals. Our NJROTC unit continues to be named a Distinguished Unit.  Our girls golf team was the South Carolina 3-A state champions in 2006, which is the third time they have accomplished this feat.  Our athletic programs continue to compete in post season play and many of our athletes have won individual state titles. We also offer many extracurricular opportunities for students through our various clubs and organizations.

Since we have a “picture rich” website, I invite you to see all of the activities and accomplishments. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call or e-mail us. Of course, if you are in the Myrtle Beach area, you are welcome to visit our school.

With Panther Pride,

Velna Allen, Principal
